It might be interesting to see if the FB driver also causes PCI stalls ?
and with
that causes problems with RTAI.

There has been a thread about this a while back , at that time i hacked
around in the XFree 4.0.x
sources (with help of some of the Xfree ppl) but could not really fix
the problem apprt from
totaly turning off acceleration. When more ppl are starting to run into
this i might have to
pick up where i left off at that time and create some test programms and
start collecting data
from ppl and with that compile white and black lists , of cards and
board combo's.

Well my s3virge DX in combination with a ASUS A7V (TB800) can be put on
it, it is useless
for hardrealtime :-)
