We are using matrox-meteor frame grabbers and use a slightly modified version of
the standard Linux driver. It's not strictly speaking real-time but it works well
enough. The driver has been changed so that whenever a frame is ready it calls a
RT routine to set a flag. This then triggers an RT routine that plays with the
data. We close an acquisition servo loop on a telescope this way and, while it
can display only 4-5 per second, it easily does the full 30 frames per second on
the real time side if things.

It's a hack but it works,
