Hello,
I'm trying to choose between a Linux embedded OS and a traditional embedded
OS, such as VxWorks for the mpc8xx and the mpc8260.
Our system supports tasks, semaphores, interrupts, timers, etc.
The response time is also important (context switching, interrupt latency,
semaphores, messages).
Another great factor is the debugging tools (such as simulators and tracing
tools) and the support .
Have you run benchmarks for these processors and these operating systems ?
Can you send me the results ?
What is your recommendation ?
