I have upgraded to RTL3.1 and have being trying with out any success to run the interrupt measurement program from Mirko Holler's web page (link found on http://www.rtlinux.org/documents.html). Though I have managed before to run Mirko's program under rtl v2.3 with out any problems. with RTL v3.1 I can't get the parallel port to respond at all. I wrote a simple non rtl program to toggle a bit on the parallel port. But have not yet been able to get this program to produce a response on the parallel port under rtl. I ran my test program on another Linux machine and it worked fine. Has anyone run Mirko Holler programme under rtl v3.1 or has experience in utilising the parallel port under RTL v3.1? what do I need to do?
incidentally the parallel port hardware seems to be fine as I have checked it under DOS. Any kind of help is appreciated thanks --------- David ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This email and any attachments are confidential and are for the use of the addressee only.
