Seriously, I'm using it with RedHat 6.2 just fine.  But what it does depend
on the CPU.  All Pentiums have a register called the Time Stamp Counter, a
64-bit register which increments at the CPU's clock rate.  If your CPU
doesn't have this register, then I don't know what you can do.
