Thanks Wolfgang Denk,
I have solved this problem. This was more related to the rtlinux versions.
What I could make out is the ver. earlier than 3.1 are not stable at least on
Redhat linux 7.1 (kernel 2.4.2 NOTE redhat linux ver.).
I tried to compile and add patch for at least 3-4 days. Finally I could do
only with linux kernel ver 2.4.4 (kernel for rtlinux from kernel.org) and
rtlinux ver 3.1 from rtlinux.com.
I followed all instructions as written in installation notes. This issues
was more related to rtlinux versions.
OR I may be even wrong as I was also a beginner. But at the same time it
should not have taken 3-4 days in case if I am wrong. Any how this is more
related to rtlinux people.
One more thing, which I could make out is, in installation notes of
rtlinux-3.1.tar.gz, they are asking to make a symbolic link after creating
bzImage and rebooting the system, which I believe should be before that,
because it did not work.
As written by you I am also making CC to rtlinux support department.
But I wrote is more related to, what I faced during installation. I MAY BE
WRONG. Any how my main aim is to port rtlinux on powerpc SBC.
I wish if I could.
Looking for good relationship with all of you so that we all together can do
some new things.
Thanks
Sandeep
