Maxime,
If you haven't deleted the original RedHat 7.1 compiler (gcc/g++ 2.96), then
you might get results with this.
I am compiling C++ code with 2.96, and although I get a lot of warnings
about #undef's, it seems to hang together.
I'm still waiting, however, for someone to write in with the gcc compiler
version that works best for C++ with RTLinux.

Subject: [rtl] unresolved symbol _GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_

Hi all,

I'm having problems compiling c++ code under rh7.1 with gcc 3.0.1 and rtl
v3.1. I recently upgraded to the new gcc compiler, and since then things
haven't been going very well.

When I compile the cpp example in example/cpp, I can't even run the demo
anymore. This is what I get:

app.o: unresolved symbol __cxa_pure_virtual
app.o: unresolved symbol _GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_

Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can fix this? I'm out of my league
here.

Thanks a lot.

Maxime Brunet
