Of interest to this list: one of the day-long tutorials for the meeting
is "Inside the Linux Kernel", geared towards competent UNIX/C programmers.
Most of what I know about the kernel has been from coding for RTL or
reading in the book _Linux_Device_Drivers_, so I may attend if I can
convince someone to shell out the $$$ ($345 - ouch). Only $70 for
a student.
I was wondering as well. Unfortunately the meeting happens to perfectly
conflict with a big academic meeting (IEEE-EMBS/BMES) here in Atlanta
at the same time. I may drive out to visit the exhibits on Wednesday or
Friday of that week.
I know there are some RTLers here in Atlanta -- if enough people
want to get together in an ad-hoc BoF-type thing, I will volunteer to help
coordinate.
