[rtl] RTL to Linux signals ?

Is there any way to send a signal from RTLinux to a Linux app instead of having
the Linux app block on a FIFO? I want a signal so I interrupt my Linux app and
record which subroutine has overrun it's alloted time. I am using RedHat 5.2
(2.0.36) and RTL 1.1.
