If I am not mistaken, I was the one sending email about this
problem with the aic7xxx module in RTL.
Unfortunately, the problem disappeared after rebuilding a couple
of kernels (make xconfig;make dep;make clean;make;make modules)
and I could never track the cause of it. I like to think that
I messed it up something during one of my "make xconfig" attempts,
but, since I've configured kernels a thousand times before, I
really don't know what happened. ;-)

In other words, I can't help (so why to send this email?) :-)
