I'm running embedded boards on this way. Intel Pro100 cards can use
"Intel boot agent" PXE compliant BIOS, which includes a DHCP client and
a tftp client.
You can use it with any DHCP Server and tftp server, both are included
in linux systems normally. My embedded boards are booting from a NT
workstation, so I have to use second source software. 3Com has a free
tftp server, bpbatch is a free (for noncomercial use) boot loader that
loads the kernel und initramdisk files with tftp. As DHCP server I
choose the (non free) tellurian dhcpdNT server program, because this
works best and I got good support from them.
