Does anyone know about the status of when (or whether) RTLinux
will be officially put into the "standard" Linux kernel?

I heard (from an unreliable source) that Linus Torvalds might be
considering incorporating RTLinux into the base Linux kernel. This
augmented kernel would then be included in major distributions such
as Red Hat and obviate the need to go through the RTLinux
installation procedure (which is quite error prone for an
uninitiated user).
