Dear Tomek,

The situation so far is:
The DevSystem is equipped with 48M and shared mem is placed a 47.
The PentiumPC104 has 16M and the shared is placed at 15.
With these configuration the software is working fine even without the last
modification we are discussing now.
The new PC104 are an AMD and a 386 both with 16M and the shared is placed at
15; I also have another system with an AMDk5 and 20M and shared placed at
19M.
In the last 3 cases the simple software I posted was not running.
After the modification it is running on all the platforms I have.
Just for the record they are running the same kernel.

The only difference I can see is that the last 3 platforms are not Pentium
based and we know that there is at least a difference into the maximum
shared mem pool you can address (4M to 1M) even if in this simple case we
are always talking about 1M.

Any suggestion ?

Thank you.
Have a nice weekend.

Ciao
Giovanni
