[rtl] Firewire anyone? Does anyone have experience with the linux driver for firewire?

We are entertaining the idea of talking to our data acquisition boards
through PCI-Firewire cards in a PC running Linux or RTLinux.
Any reports of success or conflicts would be appreciated.

The goal is to send the project to the south pole this December,
so we hope the programming involved won't be too great.
