Hello,

I am a newcomer to RT Linux. I am trying to use the 2.2a version of the RT
Linux kernel, since I have the 2.2.14 version of the Linux kernel. Using
the example program that has been provided under
/opt/rtl/rtlinux-2.2/examples/hello, I am able to insert the hello module
into the RT kernel successfully( lsmod shows that the hello module was
inserted successfully ), but no messages print to the screen. I was
assuming that the module would execute and print messages when it is
inserted into the kernel using insmod; but nothing happens. Can anyone help
me?

Also, is there a way to open a rt fifo from the RT Linux side?

Thank you very much,

Bill
