In my organisation, an internal real-time executive
on SH3 cpu is available with the following features:
- a static priority pre-emptive scheduler
- SH3 MMU support to give memory protection to each thread
- ehternet and PCMCIA drivers support on the target
board MS7709SE01
The executive exports a set of C++ classes (like Threads, Mutexes,
Shared Memory) to build operating system services. It also has
a component system based on ELF32 with network download support.
Now I have been asked to investigate how we can support Linux (embedded)
on this real-time executive on the lines of RTAI/RT Linux.
Given the feature set of the executive above, is this really
possible ? How should I proceed ?
Thank for any pointer,
Sathish
