Hi everyone, I'm pleased to announce the new release of the RTLinux model (0.8) running on top of CarbonKernel. This update can be downloaded separately from http://download.sourceforge.net/CarbonKernel/ck-rtlinux-0.8.tar.gz, and will compile and work smoothly with Ck's current release (i.e. CarbonKernel 1.2). This release includes several bug fixes in the simulated support of Jerry Epplin's IPC services, mainly concerning how the model handles the timeout parameters. Other less important bugs have been fixed too. There is also an enhanced support of RTLinux v3 features as of beta 3.0-pre6d, such as standard counting semaphores, (UP) spinlocks and priority ceiling protocol for mutexes. Just have a look at the README file to find out how to build the new library. Besides this, I really need your opinion on Ck and the RTLinux personality if you have one. What's bad and hopefully what's cool. What could be improved and so on. Please don't hesitate to use the project's mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) to start off any fruitful discussion on any matters concerning Ck. Personal mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] will be welcome as usual too.
