I disagree at all !
This mailing-list , I've read for 2 years, learned me a lot of things !
These things are about Real-time under linux ( and specifically
low-level programming )
All informations about rtlinux or RTAI are intresting.
Some questions and answers are specific for RTAI or RTlinux, but these
are interesting
in all case for realtime layer improvement !
Like said Phil Daly, we need to communicate each others !
If some functions are not clear , RTAI and RTlinux have their
respectives docs !
For 2 years, it's the first time I see such a competitive comparison
discussion :(
RTAI and RTlinux have Realtime Scheduler !
RTAI and RTlinux have Realtime threads !
RTAI and RTlinux have Realtime FIFOs !
RTAI and RTlinux have Realtime Interrupts handler !
If you need precision about a specific realtime layer, put your question
on the mail list,
and the concerned users will answer as well as Yodaiken team or
Mantegazza team.
These answers can be interesting for everyone listening this list to
choose a RT-layer !
Programming a realtime PCI driver, for exemple, does not differ a lot
from one rtlayer to an other !
I hope, continue to learn and help on this mail-list whithout stupid
competition ...
