Although being Linux-Realtime newcomers and Realtime newcomers
in addition, we used the patches available at www.rtai.org (RTAI
1.3). We got (almost) no problems installing our real-time system
(SuSE 6.4; Kernel 2.2.14) and getting it working. So I see no
difficulties in using the original RTAI-patches from www.rtai.org .
Remeber that the patches for RTAI 1.3 won't work with the modified
SuSE-Kernel 2.2.14. So you have to install an original 2.2.14-Kernel
before patching. Since the original-kernel is provided within the
SuSE-distribution, too, this will be no problem, either.
