Hello,

I used to declare less memory than I actually have by passing "mem = 127m" the my
kernel. This ways I hid some physical memory to Linux, memory that I could use for
sharing memory amongst tasks. Now I use a newer kernel (2.2.16+RTAI 1.5), the
rtai_shm
package and everything still work. The problem now, is that I use a VME PC and I wish
to hide again some physical memory to linux for a completly different reason. I now
want to share part of my PC memory with others VME devices (including others PC).
But, the old mem=127m (I have a 128Mb PC and 1Mb of shared memory is enough) doesn't
work anymore.
I had a quick look in the kernel source code (init/main.c) and I can't find my
"mem="kernel paramater. Is that disappeared ? And if yes, how can I find back my old
trick ?

Thanks
