-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Dear All, I am happy to announce a new rt_com release and a new maintainer;-)) Besides the version number rt-com-0.5.4 is identical to 0.5.4pre2. It is available at rt-com.sourceforge.net Moreover I am glad and happy rt_com found a new maintainer: Dave Schleef takes over maintenance work! Looking back I have somewhat mixed feelings. First of all I have to thank many of you, including NMT and DIAPM folks for RT-Linux development and improvements. More rt_com-specific I want to acknowledge Jens Michaelsen for the initial code-base. Roberto Finazzi and Giuseppe Renoldi provided patches with important improvements. There have been numerous other people sending emails -- thanks to all of you. rt_com development hasn't gone exactly where I wanted it to go, as a real POSIX interface is still missing and implementations of other ideas never got started:( Anyway, there is a *working* solution to do communication across serial lines from within RT-Linux context. Many people seem to be happy with it (so is my lab-project:). Anybody feeling the need for improvements is invited to do so... I am very grateful to Dave taking over this project, and I wish him all the support the projects need to progress and keep on succeeding. Hopefully he will get some more support from RT-Linux developers regarding changes for new distributions.
