[ unusal big jitters with nvidia chips ]
i poked around in the nvidia os-adapter source code
and found my_cli/my_sti() functions in nvrm.h with
hard coded cli/sti.
Maybe this functions are used from within the binary
only code (Module-nvkernel, xf86nvrmapi.lib and nvrmapi.lib),
so that is could be sufficent to hack a few lines.
But it could be also possible that cli/sti is hard coded
somewhere in the binary only code itself, rendering any real-time linux
extension useless using nvidia-cards (didnt yet had
the time to do jitter measurements with XFree86-4.0/nvidia).
