Actually I do not what is wrong. My periodic (period is 70 or 28
millisecond, HW dependent) and non-periodic RT threads take up to
3 milliseconds. Normally they run without any lost jiffies.
The problem with lost jiffies occurs only if there is a *heavy* load
on the *Linux process* side. The load includes plenty of IPC and INET
socket communication.
There's no doubt that lost jiffies causes Linux clock to slow down, the
rate is about several minutes per hour of heavy load.
