Hi all,
(1) The searching engine at http://rtlinux.org/ does not work for me
today. It used to work. I do not why?
(2) I am using vtk (free visualization tool kit package) to display to the
user the results of several timer processes. This visual display is run on
avarage at 100Hz. While my other RTLinux threads are running at 1000Hz.
My problem is after a while (depend on how much RAM available), the
visual display i.e., animation grahics
process, takes 98% of CPU (check with top) for doing nothing at all but
trying to update the screen (rendering the window). It seems to be dead
forever except consumpt lots of CPU time. The rtlinux threads
seems to works and the command line are active too. Without the realtime
modules inserted, this animation graphics process works perfect.
I remember once people talking about the effects of bad grahics card on
real time periodicity. My graphics card is MACH 64. If it is also
possible to be responsible for this case?
Any suggestion is highly appreciated.
Thanks.
