HEllo Alec,

I am using a PEP modular computer's CP302 board. IT runs great with RH7.0 and RTLinux
3.0 (and presumably other distros and versions of RT). The only issue with this board
was the CHIPS 9030 controller which is pretty new and needs XFree86 4.1 or better. I
got it roughly working in SuSE 7.3 which uses XFree 4.1 but had to install XFree86 4.1
from a tarball on my redhat 7.0 system. Other than the initial X server problems the
board is rock solid. I run a 250us periodic scan and 16 500us period tasks with no
problem at all. They charge you rougly over $2000 but their are no moving components
using a mobile PIII and a nice huge heatsink. I plan on using a Compact Flash card
hooked up to an IDE adapter in my final rev of the project. For less expensive, check
out ADLink for their new link of cPCI stuff. They use more standard PC stuff, so it is
cheaper, but you will probably have CPU fan, etc. I havne't used their cPCI but I have
two of their full size PICMG boards and they are!
 pretty solid.

Hope this helps,

~Ken
