Hello, another small question (thanks for all the answers on my questions):
I get an error message in the kernel log that looks like this Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: Unable to handle kernel paging requestFrequency :10000 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: timeConst1:70 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: timeConst2:0 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: bufferSize (1) :28012 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: at virtual address d016c000 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: current->tss.cr3 = 0c6a8000, %%cr3 = 0c6a8000 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: *pde = 0ffca063 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: *pte = 00000000 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: Oops: 0002 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: CPU: 0 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: EIP: 0010:[<d007ae95>] Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: EFLAGS: 00010287 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: eax: 00007000 ebx: 00006d6c ecx: 00000018 edx: d016c000 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: esi: ca579f38 edi: d00b0f7f ebp: ca579f3c esp: ca579ef0 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: ds: 0018 es: 0018 ss: 0018 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: Process linux_mode (pid: 909, process nr: 71, stackpage=ca579000) Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: Stack: d002b75c ca7bfd18 00000001 00000005 c0121c09 00000200 ca579f30 ca579f30 Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: c011cf93 00000000 d016c000 00001000 cd8721c0 00000000 00006d6c 037f0f7f Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: 00002710 428c0000 00000000 ca579f8c d0037bde 00000005 bffff648 0000000c Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: Call Trace: [3c59x:__insmod_3c59x_O/lib/modules/2.2.19-rtl/net/3c59x.o_M3C696F+-288932/96] [kmem_cache_free+137/448] [unmap_fixup+291/304] [<d016c000>] [3c59x:__insmod_3c59x_O/lib/modules/2.2.19-rtl/net/3c59x.o_M3C696F+-238626/96] [sys_write+212/260] [system_call+56/64] Feb 21 19:48:36 diogenes kernel: Code: d9 1a 68 23 bf 0b d0 e8 13 11 fb ff 83 c4 10 eb 02 dd d8 d9 my question lies in the first line, I don't know what a 'Unable to handle kernel paging request' is (the rest of the line has a different source, like line 2 and 3) or where it could come from. This error stops my program immediatly and I get a 'Speicherzugriffsfehler' (something like memory access error). I am not sure if the problems lies in the realtime part or not. I checked arrays and so on but I can not find an error. May be I did something wrong during kernel compilation or so... thanks in advance for every answer!
