I am having the same problem with 2.4.18 on an amd k6 - 266. I tried setting the processor to the k6 setting but with the same results. Could this have anything to do with using some older tools. I am currently using an rtlinux 3.0 CD installation with 2.2.18, and just downloaded the new kernel and compiled.
