PROBLEM I have noticed that there is way too much SPAM from this email reflector. In addition to that, I get between 10 to 20 emails from this reflector, most of which do not concern me directly.
SOLUTION I would like to recommend that the owners of this email reflector set up a web based discussion forum, an example of which is at http://forums.2cpu.com/. I am a regular reader/contributor of several hardware discussion forums and they all work very well. Discussion forums allow the reader to follow the series of exchanges rather than getting fragmented bits of information. Discussion forms also allow to the owners to post FAQ questions and replies to eliminate repeat questions. Forms also allow the each reader to browse and read the subject matter that they are interested in. For example, since I'm more interested in the hardware side of RTLinux, I would like to see a section devoted to hardware related questions and problems. I hope that someone takes this suggestion seriously and does something about it. Until then, I am unsubscribing from the email reflector. There is just way too much SPAM and emails that don't interest me.
