try typing "dmesg" on the PC that runs rt_com module to see what have
been received by rt_com module. whatever rt_com receives is written into
internal buffer , not to the screen. "dmesg" displays the buffer.

Dear Mr/Mrs,
My rtlinux version is 3.1.When I use the original code in the
/rtlinux-3.1/drivers/rt_com to test the rt_com module,I found that it
doesn't work
very well.
The test process that I used is as following process:
1,run 'make' to compile the code to get rt_com.o
2,run 'set setserial /dev/ttyS0 uart none '
3,run 'rtlinux-3.1/scripts/insrtl ' to insmod depending modules
4,run 'make tests' to compile the code to get testcom.o
5,run 'insmod rt_com.o' to insmod the rt_com module
6,run 'insmod testcom.o' to insmod the test module
7,connet the PC of running rt modules to another PC of running
pccomm (a
software to test and monitor the serial port).
After I finished the process,I can find the output of rt_com test
module at
the PC of running pccomm is "test",it worked very well. But when I used
the pccomm
to send some ASC codes to test the rt_com module ,I got nothing on the
screen of
the running rt_com module PC.What's wrong with the rt_com module?
BTW : All the serial port properties such as the
baudrate,stopbit,and so
on,were set properly.
Look forward to your answers.
yours
sincerely,
Lin Qi.
