I've rebuild a backup of my RTLinux driven computer using the same hardware, kernel (2.2.18), and version of RTL (3.0). The modules load fine, but when I run the linux interface program I get a failure to open /dev/mem.

It runs fine as when run as root.

I have opened access permissions to /dev/mem and /dev/rtf* to 777, and still no luck.

I don't want to suid root the user program. I know I can get it to work correctly because the other system does, although I detect no difference.

This is probably a problem with a simple answer.

Thank you in advance for your attention.

Steve
