Hi there, I have been working with rails for a couple of months now, but now I have reached a dead end.
I have a field1, that is an in_place_select_editor field (the one Chad Fowler proposes in "Rails Recipes"). Now when the user selects "custom" in the drop down list, I want field2 to appear. When user selects some other value in field1, then field2 should disappear again. http://wiki.script.aculo.us/scriptaculous/show/Ajax.InPlaceEditor says "the server should respond with the updated value". Trying to return rjs commands was not successful (but I got javascript code in field1 of course).
