Instead of:
new Effect.Blah('id', options);
You could go:
$$('.yourClassName').each(function(element) {
new Effect.Blah(element, options);
});
Or if the effect has a builtin method for it (say, Fade):
$$('.yourClassName').invoke('blah', options);
