I want to have a global object that can be updated via Ajax:
var globalObject;
function updateObject (id) {
new Ajax.Request('url', { parameters: {id: id}, onSuccess:
function(transport) {
globalObject = transport.responseText.evalJSON();
}});
}
That never seems to work though, why not?
