ParentPowered PBC is an education technology company that creates simple
tools for great parenting. The company’s first product, Ready4K
<https://ready4k.parentpowered.com>, is a text messaging application for
parents of young children. Each week, parents receive fun facts, easy tips,
and messages of encouragement to help them grow their children’s cognitive
and social and emotional skills. Ready4K’s research- and standards-based
text messages build on the things that parents already do with their
children – like getting ready for school, eating meals, and going to the
store – to make parental involvement fast, fun, and easy.

We’re looking for a talented software engineer to expand our small (2
person) technical team. This person should be a strong generalist who is
comfortable with a wide variety of technologies up and down the stack (or
at least not afraid to dive in and learn new things). While we empower our
engineers to choose the tools they use, our main product is built in Ruby
on Rails and deployed on AWS, so enthusiasm and expertise in those
technologies are prerequisite to this position.

ParentPowered is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, but 100%
telecommute is an option if the right candidate doesn’t happen to live
here, too. Let’s (video) chat!

We offer a dynamic and flexible work environment with highly-energetic,
friendly, and helpful team members, as well as competitive salary, equity
in the company, and full health, dental, and vision benefits.

Please direct inquiries to [email protected]. We look forward to
hearing from you!
