Am seriously considering Heroku!
On their pricing page it says "4 dynos are equivalent to the compute power of one CPU-core on other systems." I'm just trying to work out why I'd chose a dedicated server. Their cheapest one is "1 compute unit" - so does that make it comparable to 4 dynos? Would it not be cheaper to choose the Crane shared cluster and whack on 4 dynos, for $158? Compared to their cheapest dedicated service at $200 with only one dyno? Also, am I buying for a single app? Or, if I chose the Ronin dedicated server, could I have two different websites running from it at the same time with different codebases? They have no open forum for discussions on their website. This one seems to be moderated, so not convinced it represents everyones experience http://groups.google.com/group/heroku Still.... I'm VERY interested :) :) :) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group.
