The PickAxe book (Programming Ruby) and Agile Web Development with Rails (slightly less useful nowadays for me) rarely leave arms-reach from my desk (along with Deploying Rails Applications <- you want to read this, you just don't know it yet, and Advanced Rails Recipes <- great book for ideas).
