Klingt, als sei Deine MySQL-Installation vermurkst. Kannst Du mit dem
"mysql"-Kommandozeilenclient auf Deine DB zugreifen?
Wie hast Du MySQL installiert?
Ggf. würde ich MySQL noch einmal neu installieren - ich bin dazu
großer Fan von Macports: http://www.macports.org/
