Mibbit sounds like a good, stable idea.
The only problem is it has adds, but I suppose we can live with that?
Want me to link from
http://www.jboss.org/drools/irc
to a webpage created by
https://widgetmanager.mibbit.com/?view=createacc
replacing the broken link to
http://irc.codehaus.org/
?

So It could be brought back, but probably better to use mibbit which
actually works.

And codehaus should not advertise Drools *2.x*. This is bad for
business and might be a base for litigation ;-)

Strange:
The Drools home page at http://www.jboss.org/drools/irc.html
announces "our IRC, Internet Relay Chat, channel at
irc.codehaus.org <http://irc.codehaus.org> #drools". Going there
redirects to http://irc.codehaus.org/dashboard.action, with no
indication of IRC whatsoever. But on this page there is a link
Drools <http://irc.codehaus.org/display/DROOLS/Home>which will
bring you back in Time, actually to "the site for Drools 2.x".
Luckily, there's a link on that page (announcing progress to
Drools 3.0) that'll bring you right back to square 1, so you
don't get lost in Time and Space.
