Has this gone in since the Beta version then? See
http://drools.46999.n3.nabble.com/Drools-5-2-performance-building-KnowledgeBase-td3239746.html#a3284343
for my previous experiences about this.

I’m trying to upgrade out drools to the latest version as we speak anyway
(thanks for releaseing the CR1 yesterday it means I don’t get people asking me
why we are using a Beta ☺ )

Will let you know if I notice any difference in the numbers once I’ve done this,

Thanks,

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

did you already give a look to the release notes of the last 5.3.0.CR1 ?

http://docs.jboss.org/drools/release/5.3.0.CR1/droolsjbpm-introduction-docs/html_single/index.html#d0e47

I personally worked to some optimization of both the MVEL library and Drools
internals and, as you can read there, this last release should should be
(accordingly to my benchmarks) about 3 times faster in both the supported
dialects.

Would be great if you could give it a try and confirm that you experience a
similar improvement.

Thanks,
Mario
