The code sample there contains a line where the transaction manager is registered in the environment (using the Bitronix one in this case): env.set( EnvironmentName.TRANSACTION_MANAGER, TransactionManagerServices.getTransactionManager() ); To change this, simply register your JTA transaction manager of choice.
