Hi, I am not sure of what you mean with "new Drools 6.x distribution". I downloaded the latest Drools 6.1 distribution from here http://drools.jboss.org/downloads.html launched the runExample.sh script and everything seems to work as expected.
Can you be a bit more specific? On which distribution are you trying the examples? How are you launching them? Which OS and JVM are you using?
