Hello,
The OCaml compiler is not used anymore for years. As you said, the Rust build
system now downloads a precompiled snapshot of the new implementation, which is
written in Rust. Unfortunately, you won't be able to compile it yourself.if you
don't have Rust already setup on your machine.
For C++, I believe it's used to compile the modified LLVM Rustc uses. Others
may confirm this.
