I tested OFPSetAsync message on Open vSwitch too,
but OVS did not send OFPFlowRemoved message.
How about setting OFPFF_SEND_FLOW_REM flag in OFPFlowMod message like as
follows?
mod = parser.OFPFlowMod(datapath=datapath, match=match,
instructions=inst, idle_timeout=5,
flags=ofproto.OFPFF_SEND_FLOW_REM)
When OFPFF_SEND_FLOW_REM flag was set, OVS sent OFPFlowRemoved message in my
test.
