(Though nmh, which seems to be preferred by him in his current phase of life, i personally don't dig on a Unix system unless it had a server that would hold the pre-prepared data; things are different on Plan9 where mail contents are simply accessible via a filesystem. But i don't think nmh is like that. I maybe mistaken.) But facts are: this codebase is horrible. Just take the CVE from December and the patch that was posted to os-sec and is actually (unbelievable) in use for Heirloom mailx on Debian and who knows where else: that is plain sloppy shit. Written by a man who actually gets paid for security and has had almost a month time to implement and test the patches, as it seems with feedback from OpenBSD developers.
