It was a simple parse approach all the time, and it took a much more complicated one to get over it. It will be standard everywhere in the future. We should get some (# inline commment) thing in the future, too. I got a mail at some time near the start of the maintainership (i think), with a patch that enabled on-line comments by adjusting the message list argument parser. Was that you?
