Re the C&O RS-3, 5600 & 5601. If you can get your hands on a �Chesapeake & Ohio Diesel Review,� published by the C&O Historical Society in 1982, the two units are shown on pages 146 & 147. They are pictured at Shelby, Kentucky, so I doubt if they every made it to Michigan. Apparently they are the latter Phase III version, (per Extra 2200 South), were set up to operate short hood forward, had 5-chime horns, large angled number boards, dynamic brakes, and seldom seen apart from each other. It is reported they were retired in 8/68; traded to GE and scrapped. Hope that helps.
