The Frank Titman kit uses wire for the ribs.  Maybe "rib" isn't the 
best term for this, but the "lumps" (Crud! That's even worse!)  on the 
roof and side are not really round in section.  They are triangular.  I 
noticed this at the Illinois Rwy. Museum last summer, but I didn't read 
the article mentioning the styrene until the next day.  I wish I'd 
taken more photos now.  I think I can also affix the styrene triangles 
to my styrene overlays better than to wire.  I'm going have to go find 
that kit.
