I think you will find the PRR Round Roof cars were also written up in the NASG Dispatch a few years ago. If you study the RR drawings, you'll find there were no 'overhanging' eves, only an inset and a flush roof style. The flush round roof was still a different design from that used by the B&O. Additionally, the SAL Round Roof car was a third different style. The Dispatch article has a photo of one showing the sides, ends and bottom sills to be totally different from the PRR or B&O versions. The SAL car was more like a PS1 with a round roof. N&W, Wabash, NP, Virginian and the other RR's that had round roof cars either used the PRR plans or bought used cars from the Pennsy. Jim The poll results are in.......
