>>>>>>>> From: Ken Garber <kgarber Subject: Display Table construction
I'm thinking about setting up an oval or figure-8 to take to our local train show in a few months (waiting for the invitation). But rather than build a 4x8 table and battle with it in the van and elsewhere, I'd like to build a shorter table (maybe 4x4) and have a couple of (4x2?) wings on the ends............. Anybody try (successfully) what I'm considering doing? Thanks Ken <<<<<<<< Yes, I built something on this order for similar purposes. The design has been published in the Dispatch. Compact end modules -- part 1 and part 2 Dec. '94, Apr. '95 Each half is 5' x 2-1/2' SMod modules may be inserted between the 2 halves. Also, someone down south also built one. His has also been published in the Dispatch. I believe it is Tom Robinson. This is S Gauge -- Modular Layout Update June '97, and I think there was a second article, but I've not found it. The article name and issue info comes from http://nasg.org/indexdisp.html Ordering info is on this page also. Another benefit brought to members by the NASG. ===== Ted Larson __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - now with 250MB free storage.
