Hi All,

I did not OK the green that was used for production on the CNR Pullman
cars. It is not the custom shade that was made by Scalecoat for the CNR
SIG. Instead, it is the green that was shown as a sample at the
convention. At the convention, I informed both Dick Karnes and Ron Bashista
that it was wrong. I even had Jamie Bothwell drive to Des Plaines Hobbies
to borrow an HO Branchline Trains 8-1-2 Pullman that had the correct CNR
green. Ron admitted that the green was off. I took a couple of digital
photos of it and emailed one for reference.

I assumed that the matter was settled and the correct green was substituted;
however, somehow the sample green was not changed to the correct Scalecoat
CNR Green Number 11 that we had shown/emailed Ron.

For the record, the CNR SIG Paint Chip which was submitted to American
Models was lost.

Unfortunately, although the cars look good when on their own, if you put
them beside a correctly painted CNR car or loco, the green colour stands out
as being too bluish.

Sorry to bash the CNR Pullmans but I felt that I had to clear things up when
my name was being used to substantiate something that I did not approve.

cheers,

Andy Malette
